SPRING VALLEY

Spring Valley has 14,000 stock units, 10,300 of which are sheep that graze freely on quality pasture amongst the rolling Wairarapa hills. Matt and Lynley Wyeth have been the owners since 2002, with both families coming from long and successful farming backgrounds. You could say farming is in their blood. Their two sons, Alexander 13 and Cameron 11, have high hopes of becoming 7th generation farmers and carrying on the family legacy.

Spring Valley Enterprises is a 1600ha sheep and beef breeding and finishing farm.

  • They understand and appreciate that their sheep need to be in prime condition to fulfil their optimum wool growing potential.  
  • All sheep have Electronic Identification Tags (EID) to ensure full recording, traceability and quality control. 

ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH

Each sheep wants for nothing having clean flowing water, shade, fresh air, shelter and highly skilled farmers to make sure they get exactly what they need to thrive 24hrs a day, 365 days a year.  All of which assists the sheep to grow the finest wool they possibly can.
